Award-winning Ghanaian rapper and singer Kwesi
Arthur has been named as the official representative for Ghana in
the highly anticipated Hennessy
Cypher Africa 2026 lineup.
The Tema-born lyricist joins an elite pan-African and
international roster, trading verses alongside South African rapper Yanga
Chief, renowned Nigerian producer and artist Sarz, and Ivorian rap heavyweight
Suspect 95.
Kwesi Arthur’s inclusion marks a continuation of Ghana’s
dominant legacy on the prestigious platform. Over the years, Hennessy Cypher
Africa has served as a battleground and spotlight for the continent’s elite
wordsmiths, with Ghana consistently sending top-tier representation to the
cypher
M.anifest first set a high bar for the nation with his
standout appearance in the 2022 edition, followed by Sarkodie’s high-speed
verse that re-established his continental dominance in 2024. Most recently,
Joey B held down the Ghanaian flag in 2025 by delivering a seamless flow over
an innovative Amapiano-fused beat.
Known for his introspective lyrics, distinct melodic
cadences, and raw hip-hop roots, Kwesi Arthur brings a fresh energy to this
year’s cross-continental collaboration. Fans across Africa and the diaspora are
eagerly awaiting the release to see how his signature Tema style blends with
the dynamic talents of Sarz, Yanga Chief, and Suspect 95.
