Ghanaian music superstar Black Sherif is back! The award-winning artiste has officially released his highly anticipated new project, Sun Sherif Vol. 1, today, Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Konongo-born hitmaker announced the project earlier this week on X (formerly Twitter), revealing only the title and date, and leaving fans in total anticipation. Now the wait is over.
### Sun Sherif Vol. 1 - A New Era After Iron Boy
Sun Sherif Vol. 1 marks Black Sherif's first major project since his critically acclaimed album Iron Boy, which swept Album of the Year and Artiste of the Year at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
According to reports, the project was executive produced by Aubrey Mensah Tette and previewed earlier at an intimate listening session in London and during his sold-out headline show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
The 6-track EP is executive produced by Aubrey Mensah Tette. Tracks include EXPRESSO, RUN AROUND, JOLIE, FRONTLINE, LOVE AGAIN ft Full Blown and the much-talked about FOREVER ft AratheJay.
AratheJay making the cut is historic — first Ghanaian artiste featured on a Blacko project since 2022.
This comes after Iron Boy won Album of the Year at the 2026 TGMAs and his sold-out show in New York.
